Investor Spotlight: Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council

The Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom could not do the work we are doing without our investors. They truly make our work possible! This Investor Spotlight is designed to support and lift up our partners in agricultural literacy.

The Impact of Gifts

Transportation grants have been one way that the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council (MSRPC) has helped grow the impact of Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom (MAITC). These grants were funded by MSRPC and support the impact that onsite visits, careers discussions and more can have on Minnesota K-12 learners. For more than 36 years, MSRPC has supported MAITC in many ways including general program support. Thank you for your ongoing support!

Why Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council Supports the MN Ag in the Classroom Mission

When asked why Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council supports Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom, Doug Monson states, “The Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council is definitely very proud to support Minnesota Ag in the Classroom. Part of our strategic mission is to really reach that next generation of leaders and we can do that best through the youth. I think our organization realizes that we don’t have the money to actually go straight to non-farmers and talk to them about the farm message. But through groups like yours, we are able to amplify and do that. [...] We’re really excited about the AgMag obviously in my world we work with marketing and communications. Anything we can do to try to further that message and push that message out, especially to that nonfarmer audience is really important. [...] Our farmers are very proud to support this. We want to keep dreaming up new and creative ways to help support your mission.”

Why the MN Ag in the Classroom Foundation Executive Director is Excited About This Partnership

Ann Marie Ward, Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Executive Director, stated, “Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council have reimagined how they can best support Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom. They made it possible for us to meet the goal of no canceled Farm Camps due to transportation funding needs. That was huge! We are cultivating our future with the support of the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council.”
