Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom connected to a continually growing number of educators in 2023-2024 who are curious and excited to bring agriculture into their classrooms. Partnerships allowed us to bring content experts to classrooms, provide professional development events, and take students out of the classroom to experience agriculture.
MAITC Board of Directors 2024 Annual Meeting
On Thursday, September 26, 2024 the Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Board of Directors came together with many of our great partners to celebrate us coming together for the same vision of Agriculture is valued by All. Sponsors of Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation who spoke at the Annual Meeting include Minnesota Corn, The Rosen Family Foundation, Midwest Dairy, AgCountry Farm Credit Services, Compeer Financial, Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council and USDA - NRCS Minnesota. As we prepare for yet another great year to come, we commemorate a great Fiscal Year 2024 with our Annual Report following the Annual Meeting.

Farm & Food Book Week 2024
Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom hosted the fourth annual Farm and Food Book Week February 20-23, 2024. Each day provided virtual agriculture-themed book readings by special guest readers.Farm and Food Book Week reached 114 classrooms and impacted 2,340 students!
Lakeland PBS Ag Career Videos
Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom (MAITC) engaged with those in agriculture careers across the state to create resources for educators. Last fall, Ann Marie Ward, MAITC Foundation Executive Director and Ann Vote, Assistant Producer Farm Camp Minnesota Ag Careers Video partnered with Lakeland PBS. Together we connected with Minnesotans engaged in various positions in the agriculture industry and captured the career paths, skill sets and many reasons these individuals came to be a part of the diverse landscape of Minnesota agriculture.
Farm Camp Minnesota
Farm Camp Minnesota is a three part experience for 5th through 12th grade learners that’s customized for each classroom. The three parts include standards-based in class learning, hands-on farm or agribusiness tour and career exploration all while connecting with existing classroom curriculum. The 2023-2024 school year impact reached 876 Students, 46 Classrooms, 35 Educators and 38 AgHosts!
2024 Summer Teacher Tours
This year marked the tenth year of the Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom program hosting Summer Teacher Tours, a unique summer professional development opportunity for K-12 educators. Educators are invited to join in for a tour filled with exciting exploration of production, processing and distribution techniques. These tours also allow educators of all backgrounds to gain a better understanding of the standards-based, agriculture themed lesson plans and resources available for free to them from MAITC.
