Why did you join the board?
To continue to help promote the great work the MAIT provides. In addition, to help young people understand the great opportunities to have in agriculture.
What MAITC program or initiative are you most passionate about and why?
Teacher tours - The more we can help educate our teachers on all the potential possibilities there are in ag it provides a pipeline of future talent for the industry.
What is your favorite agricultural product and why?
Pork - I spent the majority of my career involved in the pork industry, not only in Minnesota but I across the globe. The pork producers in the state of Minnesota are the best in the world at what they do. In addition, they are a great group of people to work with.
What is your profession?
I work a day a week as an advisor for Schwartz Farms out of Sleepy Eye MN. In addition, I am helping some family business owners with succession planning. My full-time job is watching our 6 grandchildren and all their activities.
