Hear from Our Investors

We can’t do this work alone. Together with our investor partners, we are making agricultural literacy a reality for K-12 students across Minnesota. Their support fuels our programs and helps us reach more students and educators every year. During the meeting, we’ll hear from several of these partners as we celebrate our shared successes.

Program Highlights & Updates

From classrooms to communities, MAITC and the MAITC Foundation have created powerful learning opportunities that connect students to where their food, fiber, fuel, and natural resources come from. This year alone:

  • 100,000+ AgMags were distributed, reaching students statewide with engaging, standards-based content.
  • Farm Camp Minnesota expanded to bring real-world agriculture experiences to more classrooms.
  • Farm & Food Book Month became a month-long celebration with four engaging readings.
  • Seven Virtual Field Trips provided direct connections to Minnesota agriculture.
  • On-Demand MAITC 101 Professional Development launched, increasing educator access to training.
  • Educator Advisory Team initiatives like PD 101 began shaping new opportunities for teachers.

Reflecting on the 2025 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference

In June, Minnesota hosted educators from across the nation for the 2025 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Minneapolis. With 543 attendees, 60 workshops, 12 traveling workshops, and a memorable Minnesota Reception, it was a true showcase of our “Lakes, Lands, and Legions.”

We’ll share stories, highlights, and how the new 25 in 25 Professional Learning Cohort, born out of the conference, will create year-round professional growth opportunities for educators.

Advancing Agricultural Literacy Through Strategic Planning

This year, MAITC also launched a refreshed Strategic Plan to guide our mission of increasing agricultural literacy through K–12 education. Developed with input from educators, industry partners, and supporters, the plan focuses on four key goals:

  1. Strengthen relationships with educators and industry partners.
  2. Expand student understanding of agriculture and career opportunities.
  3. Maintain a strong financial foundation to support long-term success.
  4. Engage audiences with data-driven communication to share our impact effectively.

This plan reflects our commitment to deepening partnerships, enhancing student learning, and ensuring that agriculture remains a valued and visible part of Minnesota’s educational landscape.
