Momentum We’re Building On in 2026

The work of Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom continues to grow across the state, from the North Shore to the southern prairies. As we move through 2026, this is a meaningful moment to reflect on the results and milestones that are shaping our work right now. FY2025 impact data shows direct impact with 158,728 Minnesota students and engagement in 88% of Minnesota’s public school districts. The new school year continues, and this momentum is building.

A National Spotlight in Minneapolis

A major highlight we are carrying forward is hosting the 2025 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Minneapolis. The event welcomed 543 registered attendees, 12 traveling workshop experiences and featured 60 workshops, creating space for learning, connection, and shared excitement for agricultural literacy.

Classroom Connections That Made Learning Real

In classrooms across Minnesota, this momentum is fueled by trusted resources and experiences that connect students to the source of their food, fiber, and fuel. MAITC reached a major milestone by distributing 107,772 AgMags, opening doors to big questions and future career opportunities.

Serving K 12 Students In All 87 Counties

Virtual Field Trips helped students learn directly from farms and agriculture sites, reaching 7,322 students from 370 classrooms. Hands-on learning continued through another strong year of Farm Camp Minnesota providing immersive in-person experiences. The most recent Farm Camp season engaged 21 counties, 55 educators, 1,032 students, and 23 schools, creating an immersive bridge from the classroom to farms and agriculture careers.

This is learning students can feel, see, and remember.

Launching the Strategic Plan

Another major step forward was launching the MAITC Foundation Strategic Plan, shaped by stakeholder input and focused on partnerships, student learning, financial sustainability, and data-driven communication.

Thank You for Growing This Work

None of this would be possible without dedicated supporters. Thank you to the educators, donors, and partners who help agricultural literacy grow across Minnesota. MAITC momentum in 2026 is strong, and there is more to build together.

Join us in harnessing agricultural knowledge for a brighter tomorrow.

Together, let's cultivate an agriculturally literate society and empower future generations with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the vital role agriculture plays in our daily lives.
