Why did you join the board?
As someone who was born and raised in Minnesota, I have a true passion for the state and the people of the state. I know the importance of educating our youngest residents on all topics of agriculture and I believe in supporting educators who are instilling in young minds the importance of knowing where their food comes from and knowing how important agriculture is in our world today.
What MAITC program or initiative are you most passionate about and why?
There are so many wonderful programs and initiatives that MAITC works on, but the one I am most passionate about is the AgMag. It is exciting to hear how much it's grown and it's a great resource for educators and students. The topics covered are pertinent to our world today and make learning about agriculture fun, engaging and exciting for students.
What is your favorite agricultural product and why?
There are so many wonderful products that come out of agriculture, but I'd have to say my favorite is cheese. There are so many varieties of cheese and I can always find one I like! I appreciate the hard work that goes into making all different types of cheese and the various processes to get it exactly right.
What is your profession?
I am a Program Manager at the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities where my work covers both Administration/Operations and Alumni Relations. I enjoy connecting with staff, faculty, students, alumni, and friends of the college.
