Why did you join the board?
My previous experience serving as our local school board chairperson for several years, combined with my passion for dairy promotion, led me to joining the MAITC Board. I love the work the MAITC organization does and am thrilled to serve on the board and do my part to help further their mission.
What MAITC program or initiative are you most passionate about and why?
My initial draw to MAITC was the Ag Mag program. It is so incredibly well done and such an amazing resource to educators. However, as I learn more about all of the programs offered, I am really excited about the Summer Teacher Tours. Our family owns and operates a dairy farm in central Minnesota. We have experienced first-hand how allowing educators to observe and experience a farm really helps them make the connections and thus implement standards-based, agriculture-themed lesson plans and resources.
What is your favorite agricultural product and why?
Dairy! From cheese to ice cream, who doesn't love some dairy products in their life? In addition to the yummy products, dairy producers are passionate about caring for their animals and their land all while producing nutritious and delicious food.
What is your profession?
Currently, I am a Business Development Manager for Form-A-Feed (a livestock nutrition company). Also, our family owns and operates Kuechle Dairy and I serve on the corporate board of Midwest Dairy.
