Why did you join the board?
I’ve always been appreciative of the work that Minnesota Ag in the Classroom has been doing to help bring ag advocacy and education to classrooms across the state. As a former Agricultural Educator and student worker for Ag in the Classroom, it’s clear the work that they do is extremely thoughtful and impactful for so many students and educators.
What MAITC program or initiative are you most passionate about and why?
It’s hard to narrow it down to just one program, but I think that the curriculum matrix is phenomenal. It’s so easy to search by grade level, topic, and lesson type, which is so helpful for our educators.
What is your favorite agricultural product and why?
I am a big veggie eater! Top of the list for me would probably have to be zucchini and yellow squash - it’s so versatile and delicious any way you cook it up!
What is your profession?
I am currently the Education Director with Minnesota Farmers Union.
